Molecular Sieve
Molecular sieve is a synthetic hydrated alumina silicate (zeolite) or natural zeolite with the function of screening molecules and a very high surface area. The molecular sieve has high adsorption capacity, strong selectivity and high temperature resistance. It is mainly used in organic chemistry and petrochemical industry. Activated Alumina
Activated alumina is a type of aluminum oxidant in the form of very porous spheres that are literally “tunneled” at the microscopic level and has a very high surface area. Activated alumina is mainly used for adsorption of gases in liquids. Adsorption is the adhesion of one substance to the surface of another substance. Activated alumina performs this adhesion process very effectively and is therefore used very often. Drying of gases is often vital for the safe transport of volatile gases.
